Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT)

Meets TSO-C91a standards; FAA and FCC approved, satellite compatible. Operated simultaneously on both 121.5 MHz and 243.0 MHz frequencies. Built-in test light for checking power output, modulation, and battery. Permanently attached, integral, unbreakable antenna radiates a good signal through the window. 3-position  toggle switch is recessed to protect it in crash situations; activates either automatically or manually. Has a nylon lanyard to enhance portability Has an aural monitor to alert pilot when ELT is activated. Uses a special 9V battery pack that is encapsulated to protect against impact and the environment. The solid state circuitry is encapsulated to provide waterproofing and shock resistance, and to protect the ELT from the environment. Will withstand up to 1,000 G's of shock. Size: 2.5" W x 2" D x 8.5" H. Antenna: Flexible, stainless-steel whip extends 19" above top of unit. Weight:  2.75 lbs. Optional - Can be packed inside survival kits.
